ON THE ROAD

My next event is the Cambridge Book Fair on Friday 17 & Saturday 18 January - a prestigious event with over 80 leading dealers attending. This is followed by the Stafford Transport Collectors Fair on Saturday 3 March and the Sheffield Railwayana Auction at Derby Cricket Ground on Saturday 10 March. I hope to see you at one of these events!

BUYING

I am always interested in buying single items or collections of railway material. If you have any for sale do please get in contact with me.

MY STOCK

Most of my quality transport stock is now listed on UKBookWorld. Click on the link and up it will come! I have just bought a nice set of Smiles' 'Lives of Enginners', the best edition from 1904 in the attractive red cloth bindings.  I also hav 2 books on Brunel - 'Life of Brunel' from 1870 and Lady Celia Noble's 'The Brunels. Father & Son' from the 1930s. Both of these are hard to find and these are very nice copies. I have also recently listed some rather nice railway publicity material!

RECENT RESEARCH

Having been fortunate to acquire a small collection of 'Visit' booklets I will be publishing a research article on this interesting area of publicity together with some images soon.

GALLERY UPDATED

My Gallery now includes images of some of the covers of Holiday Haunts, the impressive publication which, apart from the war years, had an unbroken run from 1906 to 1947.

Hope to see you shortly but in the meantime ...

... good hunting!
