Albion Publishing Co. Ltd. The Romance of a Railway. [1925], 40pp + ads, pictorial card covers, system map. Front cover dust stained at the top & left and minor wear, otherwise a cracking copy of an impressive publication. Hard to beat!
Included in the list of GWR publications is ‘Roman and British Antiquities’ which was ‘in course of preparation’. This became ‘From Caveman to Roman in Britain’, well known to us all.

Anon. Haunts and Hints for Anglers. 1914, 280pp, card covers, 2 system maps (Northern Section and Southern Section). Yapp edges pretty much gone, front cover darkened round the edges, spine cracked and darkened, rear cover missing. Exceptionally rare, in any condition.
Essentially a new edition of the title which had a short run just prior to World War 1. A ‘second edition’ was published in June 1924.

Anon. Plymouth to London and Places worth Seeing on the Great Western Railway. [1929?], 32pp, photographic card covers. Foxing to the covers, and staples rusted away (as seems usual on this publication). Rare.
Published in or after 1929 as Milne was the General Manager. The text is the same as the brochure issued in connection with the Visit of the International Hotel Alliance in 1926.

Anon. Hotels and Catering Services of the G.W.R. 1937, 72pp on art paper, card covers with yapp edges. Some light creasing in the front cover and 2” of yapp edge missing, otherwise an excellent copy of an elusive title.
I believe this series started in 1928 under the title ‘G.W.R. Hotels and Catering’. Whilst the same title was used in 1929, by 1932 it had changed to ‘Hotels and Catering Services of the G.W.R.’. The series ran until 1939.
